Do you have a spiritual giant in your life that you don't know how to conquer? Are you letting that giant push you around because you think this particular giant is more powerful than you are? Whatever your situation may be, you can SLAY THE GIANT IN YOUR LIFE BY SIMPLE FAITH IN GOD.
Are you sick? If so, God doesn’t want you to be sick. God doesn’t want anyone to be sick. I don’t care what the devil says or what other people tell you; our Heavenly Father is not a cruel God that withholds healing from His Children.
How do you consume your day? Do you spend most of your time talking about God and His many blessings? Or, do you find yourself talking more about the devil and how he has tried to destroy you? What is the topic of your conversation at the dinner table every night? Are you whining and dining with the devil?
A few weeks ago someone, who claims to be a Christian, approached me with the idea that it’s okay to be gay. That as a Christian I should change my opinion on homosexuality because God accepts the gay lifestyle and so should I. This person provided scriptures that were taken so far out of context that it was actually scary. However, in their quest to change some minds on this issue they may have actually swayed a few. But, I will not be swayed. There’s no bible evidence that God was ever okay with the gay lifestyle.
Some people act as if Jesus never went to the cross and defeated satan. They just sit back and take everything the devil throws at them. Why in the world would God allow Jesus to go to all the trouble, and agony, of dying on the cross to give us a better life if He was going to turn right around and permit the devil to hit us smack dab in the face with trials and temptations? The answer is, He wouldn’t and He didn’t.
Do you feel troubled and you don’t understand why? Are you sick and cannot seem to get well? Do you feel as if you are under an evil influence of some kind never having any real sense of peace? Have you prayed and prayed with not a hint of relief in sight? Well then, what you may need is deliverance and to receive deliverance you need to understand what it is and how it transpires.
We can be freed from the devil’s grip and from all demonic forces that try to oppress or possess us, our family and friends, by applying what the Word of God has to say about binding and loosing.
The role of the Holy Ghost is very important in the life of the believer. We draw strength from Him when we are weak in our faith. He gives us comfort when we are in distress. Without the Holy Ghost we could not be saved or excel in our faith
Our Heavenly Father never intended any of us to have low self-esteem or to feel insignificant in any way. He created us all to feel good about ourselves and to succeed in everything we do. When we don't feel as if we are succeeding in life, we become discontent. And discontentment can easily bring on feelings of insignificance.
Jesus told The Twelve in Matthew 10:8, ‘Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Freely you have received freely give.’ But today’s TV evangelists are saying something entirely different. They are saying, want a miracle? Well it’s going to cost you!
Faith is the substance from which our prayer life should be assembled. According to the dictionary another word for substance is material. So faith is not just a substance, it’s actually the material of which our prayers are made.
You've been waiting and waiting but your prayers just don’t seem to be getting answered. What could be the hold up you wonder? Could it be God doesn’t want to answer or, could it be God will not honor your request because of sin in your life? There may be a number of reasons you haven’t heard from God, timing is one of those, but the most common reason is sin.
So, you’ve had it. You’re just about ready to give up, abandon ship, throw in the towel, call it a day! Just ever how you want to put it, you are ready to quit. Well, my weary friend, the devil wants nothing more than for you to do just that. Lay down and give up. He wants you to surrender. Then he will have you right where he wants you. Alone, and hopeless. So don’t do it. Don’t surrender
Children of God, we must never allow the devil to get an upper hand on us. We must stand firm, steadfast in the faith, knowing for a fact that God is a good God and that He will meet our needs! If you're under attack right now, I believe this article will be of help to you.
When it comes to prophecy, or any of the gifts and callings of God, there’s no room for error. We must strive for perfection and never settle with imperfection in these areas. God is a good God. He doesn’t toy with people’s feelings and He doesn’t lead people on. He doesn’t go around telling people they’re healed only to watch them die later. That’s cruel and God is not a cruel God.
Have you suddenly found yourself face to face with the enemy? Is he looking you square in the eye right now (spiritually speaking) and threatening your life? Is he telling you that you’re going to die? Well, don’t allow his threats to get you discouraged and cause you to throw down your weapons. Instead, grab your sword, which is the Word of God, hold up your shield of faith and take after the devil. Put him on the defense for a while.
The devil sends different types of storms to try and destroy God’s people. He would like nothing more than to sweep us all off the planet. But if we do the sayings of Jesus and build our spiritual foundation upon a rock then we will be standing strong long after the storm has blown over.
Nothing frustrates me more than preachers who brag and show off. I quit watching Christian TV for a long time because of it. The self-glorifying on some of these shows is sickening. I call them shows because I think some of them are doing just that, putting on a show.
Most of the Christian community is more concerned with getting smarter than they are with receiving The Anointing nowadays. If you want to enhance the talents and gifts God has given you that is one thing, but to feel you musthave a ministry degree or some kind of title to feel important enough to work in God’s Kingdom is just plain wrong. .
How can God be a good God when such a tragedy has occurred like the one at Virginia Tech? Well, have we all forgotten something here? Hello, there is a devil out there. He walks about daily, seeking whom he may devour.
Jesus never left me stranded in a trial and He’ll never leave you stranded in one. No matter what is going on around you God is in control. You’re going to come out of your situation victorious.
You may say, well, I never tell a dirty joke. That’s well and good. But, do you speak evil of people? Do you make remarks that you know isn’t right? Do you get in on the gossip at church? Are you one of the first ones to say, guess what I heard?
If you’re been watching Christian television for the past few years you’ll know what I mean when I say that sometimes television evangelists go too far. How to buy healing, salvation, and blessings from God has become a seed-sowing revolution.
Though it is not God’s will, many today are walking around beat down, sick and afflicted. The devil digs a pit; they fall in and just lie there, not even trying to get out. We all have seen people like this. I guess if we all, truly, would be honest, most of us have been in a pit at some point in our Christian walk. You, yourself, may even be in a pit right now. Good news! You don’t have to stay there.
Do you ever wonder what pastors and local ministers of the gospel do during the week? I mean we all know they preach their sermons on Sunday morning and Sunday night. But, what do they do the rest of the time?
As time was nearing for me to prepare another article for my column I felt the Lord prompting my heart to discuss a few verses from James Chapter One. I enjoy reading the book of James. It is very enlightening.
A few years back, I wrote a song that is mostly for children (but adults like it too) entitled Are You a Christian or Are You a Mouse?
When I wrote the song, I felt that many of God’s children were allowing the devil to push them around. I still feel that way. We just don’t enforce satan’s defeat as we should.
I know from the title of this article it sounds as if I’m down playing faith—but I’m not, for without faith it would be impossible to please God. What I’m saying is this, "Faith does not work alone. You can not isolate faith and say that it is the only thing that will move God. It takes faith and love to touch God."
In the Christian community, satan is a terrorist. There is no doubt in my mind that he was behind the attack on America. His targeted areas on September 11, 2001 were the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a third intended target may have been the White House. The devil targets areas in our Christian lives as well. We’ll get into this a little later in this article.
As Children of the Most High God we are to walk by faith and not by sight. We know that. But what many don’t realize is this; you don’t have to throw common sense to the wind to walk by faith.
Saints we must praise God in every situation. No matter how bad it looks or feels, praise is the answer. God always delivers. He always comes through. Maybe His timing isn’t ours but He always takes care of business. We need not worry!
There's too much emphasis being made on angels and not enough on the creator of angels! God Almighty! God is the creator of all things in Heaven and in earth; He created the angels, but He didn't create them for us to worship.
Christians right now are going through what many are referring to as, "the toughest times of my life." It is in these tough times that we all need what I like to refer to as a spiritual pep talk. A faith-talk if you will. Many of us don’t always get the pep talk that is needed to stay fired up because our pastors just aren’t on fire enough to give such a message
You can put out the fiery darts of the enemy before they even reach you by using "the shield of faith".)
If you are one of many who does not have peace and you want to know how to keep the devil from destroying your mind, your health, and your family, then the Lord wants to reassure you right now that you can resist the devil.
With all the teaching that continually goes on in the Christian community today about prosperity one might think that money is the only thing that matters. That if you have money, or enough of it, you can buy anything even the blessings of God. I witnessed a minister on television trying to sell God’s blessings. You know what? People were actually trying to buy them.
I believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ. When I pray for someone I expect him or her to be healed right then and there. When I pray for myself I expect to be healed quickly and completely. With all this said, let me point out, there is still Biblical reasoning behind healing that takes a while to occur.
Children of God, we can return things to the devil because we didn't order them. We don't have to claim his junk just because he sent it. When the devil sends us a health problem or an emotional upset, we don't have to receive them!
God is a good God. But there are those who tend to believe that all the bad and negative things that happen to them are from Him. When something goes wrong instead of standing up and placing the blame where it actually belongs by running off the demon spirit that caused the problem, many sit back and say, "God why did you allow this?
I want to point out there are many causes of depression and since I am not a medical doctor or psychologist, I can NOT tell you medically what is causing your problem. However, being a Christian for over twenty years, I do feel, up to a certain point, moderately qualified to pass on some knowledge I have learned about this growing concern among our Christian society.
Does your prayer pack a punch? In other words, is your prayer a powerful one? When you are in a fight with satan, do you always come out the winner?
